Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio, is an American actor. She is famous for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well on ABC's Lost TV show. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio, dropped out high school and moved into Los Angeles after her divorced parents. Even though she had financial difficulties and in the beginning, she made her acting debut in the role of Rachel's Room's principal character. The role she played in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television movie Murder in Greenwich in 2002, earned her a nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, the role she played in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was selected for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace, who had worked alongside Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, wanted to move into film. The following year, she was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and also, as Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills for Taken. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the main character Alice In Malice in Wonderland a modern adaptation of Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon's part on Lost for two episodes. This included the finale of the series. The year was 2013, and she appeared in the sixth episode of Californication. She is Faith as a girl who acts as a muse to celebrities and attracts the eye to Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She belongs to the Gyllenhaal clan and the younger sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. In her teens her career began on small roles with her father and appeared in Donnie Darko with her brother. Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win an Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) and the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). The two films were critically acclaimed. Following a string of commercially successful movies in 2006, including World Trade Center she received greater recognition for her performance as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). In the film, her performance as Crazy Heart as a mother with a single child received her a nomination for the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. She subsequently starred in the comedies and dramas: Nanny McPhee as well as the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Won't Back Down (2012). Other roles she has played include Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013 Action thriller) and actors in Frank (2014 Drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) as well as The Kindergarten teacher. In 2021 Gyllenhaal has made her scriptwriting and directing debut in the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she was awarded the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated to win the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
