MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. The album reached the top of the charts at number eight places on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and for him in the following year. He was a part of the team together with Noriel on Mala Influencia in 2020 and in the year following, he released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. He appeared later in 2021 in a duet with TINI on her streaming smash single Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, which included the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo came from a household of music the mother of his younger brother and father are musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music was a necessity. While a boy, he studied the guitar and saxophone. His initial choice of career was to become a vet however, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn singing with the help of a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he found his talents for singing, and the result changed the course his life.
